The latest buzz is that after Dor on Star Plus, UTV is all set to launch a new show on Star One. The show is tentatively tilted ‘Amar Prem’.
In this show Karnvir Bohra who played Prem in Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been roped in to the play the male lead. Furthermore, Sriti Jha who was seen in Jiya Jale will play the female lead.
The show is apparently a love story between a middle class girl played by Jha and a rich boy played by Bohra and the problems that arise after their marriage due to the mental instability of the character played by Bohra.
It is also said that Surbhi Tiwari who is currently seen in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum was initially finalised to play the role of Sriti’s mother but was later replaced as the channel thought that she was too young to play the role of a mother.”
Presently, the show is at its audition stage to get its ensemble cast.
